SUSANA CHIAROTTI is a lawyer with postgraduate studies in Family Law (National Univiserity of Rosaria, Argentina). She is the Regional Coordinator of CLADEM (Latin American and Caribbean Committee for the Defense of Women's Rights) and Director of INSGENAR (Institute for Gender, Law and Development), Rosario, Argentina. Susana is also the author of numerous articles and publications on Human Rights and Women's Rights and is in charge of the Seminar "Gender and Legislation" in the MA programme "Power and Society from the perspective of gender" at National University of Rosario. Ms. Chiarotti is also a consultant to CEPAL and the Division for the Advancement of Women (DAW).
